- TURIN (Torino)

Turin, host of the 2006 Winter Olympics, is a major cultural hub with excellent museums, elegant shops, and good restaurants. There are also some very nice examples of baroque architecture and historic palaces. Turin has many historic cafes (Baratti e Milano, Caffè Torino, Mulassano), artisan workshops, and the famous ‘umbrella’, a good place to walk even in the rain.

Milan, one of Europe's richest cities, is known for stylish shops, galleries, and restaurants and has a faster pace of life than most Italian cities. It also has a rich artistic and cultural heritage. Its Duomo, with its beautiful marble facade, is magnificent. La Scala is one of the world's most famous opera houses.

- NAPLES (Napoli)

Naples is one of Italy's most vibrant cities. It lies on the coast South of Rome and is the most important city in Southern Italy. Naples is famous for his Coast and Island: Capri, Sorrento and Amalfi Coast.

- PISA

Pisa is famous for his Leaning Tower. While the Leaning Tower is the most famous image of the city, it is only one of many works of art and architecture in the city's Piazza del Duomo, also known, since XX century, as Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), to the North of the old town center. The Piazza del Duomo also houses the Duomo (the Cathedral), the Baptistry and the Camposanto Monumentale (the monumental cemetery).

- Alps are popular both in summer and in winter time as a destination for sightseeing and sports. Winter sport (Alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, snowshoeing, ski tours) can be practised in most regions from December to April. In summer, the Alps are popular with hikers, mountain bikers, paragliders, mountaineers, while many alpine lakes attract swimmers, sailors and surfers.
